It’s official, I deserve a Honorus Crux (or whatever it is called now) for bravery under exceptional circumstances.Today I decided that I will follow through on one of my New Year’s resolutions and be more of a fun mom. We started with a craft project!
Have you ever tried giving instructions to a 2-year old that has gone stone-cold deaf? You would have thought that I would have had a lot of practice with my husband the last 6 years, but to have one of your off-spring, over which you had some genetic influence, do this to you… let’s just say that Bigboy will soon be able to count in thousands. (thousand-and-one, thousand-and-two, thousand-and-three, thousand-and-four… you get the picture).
Anyway, I decided that we would make a dinosaur as per Kids’ Craft Weekly instructions.
Which by the way is a great project for a 2-year old, they can paint to their heart’s content on the paper plate and Bigboy LOVES taking the dinosaur apart and putting it back together again. I tell you, this kid has potential. (for what, we’re not sure yet)
The dinosaur doesn’t look too bad, but by the end of the whole exercise I was really tired of saying, paint here… no, no not there… how about we put some colour here on the white parts…hello, hello, anybody there?
I’ll be a saint by the time he goes to school, if he makes it to then.
The Dinosaur
